#10066 Cassandra, Sarah and Yul. You three have come as far as you can on your own. The power now shifts from the three of you to the people you had a hand in voting out.

I will now turn over to Rory. Rory, you have until Saturday at 11:59pm c/12:59am e to address the final 3 and ask them for as much information as you need to cast your vote. They will then have until 9:00c/10:00e on Sunday to answer anything you have asked.

The floor is yours!

Relax, I'm just having fun with the three of you. icon_wub I am honestly happy for you guys to reach this far into the game. I really am, and I'm glad that I've made friends with all of you in this game. icon_wub

I don't have any questions for you guys right now, but I've read all of your opening statements. You guys came prepared! :)

Yul.. My Becky bro. I loved yours, but I still get the feeling you are not telling us everything. It's time to let down your guard. The jury wants to hear it, and wants to really hear you owning this game. I loved the fact that we were able to work together after a very patchy beginning. I'm sorry I ever called you a gamebot and a dumbass. I've got a foul mouth in case you haven't already noticed. Yul, my Becky bro, I wish you all the best. icon_wub

Sarah.. gurlll.. you are one crazy bitch. In my confessional, I wrote there if anyone ever asked me what's the most difficult thing I had to do to stay in this game, my answer would've been "enduring Sarah". And then I go and read your opening statements. WTF, you actually sounded coherent for fucking once. And I love you for that. I love that you play this game with your heart on your sleeves. Please give us more of that in your jury answers. Sorry if I was an asshole to you in the game. I meant what I said about you being in the finals. Sarah, I wish you all the best. icon_wub

Cast (lulz).. your opening statement, sounded weird to me, cause I wasn't sure what you were going for. Not gonna lie. On the surface, from the strategic point of view, I do think right now you played an amazing game. I'm not sure if that's enough though. I loved our chats together. I had similar chats with Penner and Vytas before they were voted out and I really appreciated that you took the time to actually have decent late night conversations with me. I don't regret calling you a shady bitch, because personally I think that's a compliment in this game (I'm not sure about the others though). Cast, I wish you all the best. icon_wub

I will end this post with a photo of my final cat (no sucking up needed). This is OJ. He is fourteen years old (125 in cat years). He is a big fat lump and still allows me to cradle him like a baby. Love.

Good luck guys. And all the best. I don't have any proper questions for any of you right now. I will post them later, but you can respond to my post if you want. icon_wub icon_wub icon_wub

Awww, Rory! Thank you so much. That's very sweet. People say to me all the time "Sarah, you're a little much for me. You're a liability." So they pull back, make other plans. I understand, I'm a liability. Get you wild, make you leave. I'm a little much for everyone. (I'm sorry, I fucking had to.)

I think that's what I want people to take away from myself. My intensity comes from a place of REALLY FUCKING WANTING THIS. I want this so bad, this would mean a whole lot to have the title of winner in a community that has been a lot of fun for me for the past four years. I don't take this lightly at all, I've been trying to get here from the start because it means that much. And that's where A LOT of my conflict came from. It hurt me to see some people taking it for granted, getting complacent. Because I KNOW how much Poody was looking forward to this. We talked about this for about a year before so I came into this wanting to prove myself to Poody and give him a look at what I can be.

I'm very proud of myself. I'm an emotional person, I know some people think that's a flaw but I'm SUPER proud of myself here. I just hope the jury sees it to.

Thank you so much Rory!

#10144 lmao sorry if my opening statement was weird. Joaquin actually messaged me right after saying, "you are one weird motherfucker." Just trying to make it lighthearted rather than like a Braveheart-tier melodramatic speech.

I loved our conversations together, Royry, and I look forward to any questions you might have later :)

Thanks, Rory. I AM a game-bot, lol. And probably a bit of a dumbass. Love you, bro.

I think where I really thrived in this game is shown in the fact that I survived despite a lot of things against it. The things that weren't against me, I used as advantages and didn't waste my resources.

I was on losing tribes the entire pre-merge (despite generally decent performances). I was in a controlling position in Shentu 1.0 (including Catalie leaving), but I started out in the minority of both Bai Qi 2.0 and 3.0. I worked my way into positions of comfort (or power) both times, even though I was going to tribal almost every night. I did a good job of making relationships that would help me later.

When the merge happened, I didn't start out in any position of power. I had to follow the leaders a little bit, biding my time. But when Vytas made his big move, that was when things began to shift for me. I helped to target the people who were making the big moves, and by the time they were all gone, I was in a solid position.

I'm not saying it was perfect. Idol plays and immunity challenges did mess up some of my plans. I had to adapt, through my allies and a little (lot) of luck in that last vote. But I did adapt, and I did make it here, despite some of the strong opposition in my way.

Thanks for chance to talk, Rory.

#10252 Thanks guys (and omg Sarah that kitty LOL).

I can't think of any heavy handed questions for you guys, so I'll try to keep this fun (although it may come off as boring to some).

Name me which past Survivor winner do you think closely reflect your gameplay in this specific season and why.
Bonus question : which past Survivor runner-up(s) do you think deserved the win over the actual winner. and also why.

#10262 My answer's probably Natalie Anderson. During the game I felt some parallels to her seeking vengeance for Jeremy while I was seeking vengeance for Brenda. I think she had a great ability to telegraph to the minority a willingness to work with them, whether she was letting them in on every facet of the plan or just hinting that if they, for example, vote Reed this round, or vote Alec this round, their time will come eventually. At the same time, she had no illusions over which people she could beat, and--even when she could probably beat everyone--had "shields" in Jon and Keith and was able to convince people she couldn't.

The "stick to the plan" boot very much mirrored the Lil boot here. The plan was 3 Keith/Sarah, 3 Wes/Mia, and 3 whoever the minority would vote for. When you flipped it became 3 Keith/Sarah, 2 Wes/Mia, 4 Jon/Ozzy. Andrea and I both played the part of Nat here, except instead of telling Ozzy to play an idol we told Ozzy/Yul/Rudy literally last minute to switch to Lil. In that sense we were also sort of an Earl Cole during the Edgardo boot (creds again to Andrea for that comparison).

The idol play at F5 with Jacyln also resembled my play with Sarah, just without the iconic "did you vote for who I told you to?" because I didn't need to confirm. We both took the person in the minority, who otherwise would've gone home, and used their vote to idol out our closest ally (again, equally close to Andrea and even Brenda earlier, but at F5 Ozzy was definitely my closest).

I also just think she and I have a pretty similar worldview. Her confessional about Jon wanting a "perfect wedding" and talking about wine was hilarious to me, and nice blend of shit-talking with righteousness (insulting someone's privileged tendencies without outright calling them privileged). I think Natalie--as well as Sandra, Todd, Tyson, even Jeremy--used this kind of shit-talking strategically, insulting others with a tinge of justness so that a) the person you were talking to knew (or at least thought) you were on their side, and b) you were seen as honest (or "real") while also ethically sound. Natalie did this talking to Baylor. Personally I employed this the most when shit-talking Sarah with you. Truth be told, I did/do think she was/is an explosive personality and was meddling the whole time. But telling you this distracted from the fact that I was the one she was meddling with, ever since the Lil boot.

Overall, I think my game, or at least the flashiness of it, escalated throughout the season in much the same way hers did. I came in as someone who was HBIC in Faroe without knowing that "HBIC" was an acronym. I controlled every vote until I left, and I didn't realize I wasn't being subtle about it. Here, seeing that there were 24 people and remembering what the death of me was last game, I knew I had to wait a while to step out of the shadows. When Vytas and Andrea were being credited for moves I made in collaboration with them, I held my tongue, let their targets grow, and then took them out, gradually usurping everyone as the biggest threat--similar to the way Natalie had to bide her time to take out Jon, kept up relations with those on the outs, and kept a healthy balance of internalized and openly verbalized plans.

that is all thank you for your time :)

#10264 Oh yeah, and the bonus question. I don't think any runner-up deserved to win over the actual winner. I'm one of those people. I think the closest we got to that was Chase Rice almost beating Fabio because so many people tried to vote him into second place. Otherwise, as much as I preferred Twila, Aubry, and, yes, even Russell, as players and/or characters, I wouldn't say they "deserved to win" if they incorrectly gauged how the jury would perceive them.

Rory wrote:Name me which past Survivor winner do you think closely reflect your gameplay in this specific season and why.

In the past I played a lot like real-life Yul Kwon, but in this season I had to adapt my gameplay given the higher level of difficulty I was facing.

I am going to go with Denise Stapley.

While I didn't go to every single tribal council (which is her biggest accomplishment), I did go to one damn near every night of this game. I also with in the majority vote of every vote I participated in (with the exception, I guess, of the final four). Just like Denise, idols messed me up a little bit but I was able to adapt to them individually by shifting who I was talking to and ultimately playing with.

Adaptation is where I think this comparison really comes into play. Denise was in a situation where she ran her original tribe, and then when switched (alone), she had to really dig into the majority and make new alliances to keep her alive. She didn't just settle on short-term deals that would help her survive the next tribal council. She was solidifying plans for a long-term game, even in that situation. I did the same thing both times I was switched into the minority.

First on Bai 2.0, I made deals with Vytas, Andrea, Liliana, Rory, Candice (plus Rudy and myself). This wasn't one giant alliance, but a mish-mash of deals. On Bai 3.0, it came into play when Rudy and I had a deal with Candice already, and that was likely the only reason she helped us vote out Penner instead of going with her former allies. While I was there on Bai Qi 3.0, that's where I started my relationship with Ozzy, which would last for most of the game.

When Denise made the merge, she was in a strong alliance at that point plus she had Malcolm who was re-joining her from her original tribe. She went on to dominate the season, vote-wise. She was involved in every elimination (including split votes) and by the people started to be worried about her, it was really too late to do anything about it. She had been voting out the people who were the largest targets and came to the end of the game after having had a hand in all of the jurors' downfall.

My merge was very similar. Quiet at first, but progressively more involved as the size (and volume) of the targets around me increased. She was never in any real danger after she made the merge and neither was I. Obviously the final four is where this comparison kind of dies, because that was a whole different monster then what she had to go through. She was better at challenges then me this season, so I had to adapt to the fact that I couldn't snag immunity ever icon_laughing

Bonus question : which past Survivor runner-up(s) do you think deserved the win over the actual winner. and also why.

I agree with Cass. If you didn't get the votes of the people who you had a hand in voting out then you didn't deserve to win the game as outlined in the rules before you started playing.

Oh no worries. I'm not sure if you have time to answer this, but you can let me know which HvV, Tocantins and/or GC player, instead of just past Survivor winners. Or even RPDR queens! <3

#10317 I'm not going to compare myself to Sandra or JT. I would say Sarah was someone who was on the outs like myself who fought her way to the end but I think I have a better comparison.

I'm like Jinkx. I was constantly left out of groups (Rolaskatox/Faroe Four/Tianguan Merge alliance/rudycassyulozzy/katies mega anti-pregame power force) but I always managed to keep moving along like water off a ducks back. Things didn't always work out for me like I hoped and no one would have expected me to make it here but I am HERE and I deserved it too.

I was a very determined person with the odds stacked against them and even though my confidence was weak at points I never gave up. I proved myself in ways I've never proved myself at points. I have a strategic mind, I am able to control my temper, I am not just a comedy queen. I felt like this was big hair.

The truth is I am an underdog but I feel like I deserve to come out on top. Jinkx is the ULTIMATE underdog story so I really hope comparing myself to her doesnt ruin things for you.

I'm gonna apply the bonus question to RPDR too. Shea Coulee was robbed. HER RECORD WAS INCREDIBLE. Kim Chi too. Her mother look at the ball was amazing.
